This is a tumblelog, kinda like a blog but with short-form, mixed-media posts with stuff I like. Scroll down a bit to start reading, or a bit more to read more about me.
On Tuesday, the NYPD Facebook page shared a story they received from Jennifer Foster of Florence, AZ who was recently visiting New York City. While Jennifer and her husband were in Times Square on November 14th, they saw Police Officer Lawrence DePrimo approach a homeless man with no shoes on and heard him say, “I have these size 12 boots for you, they are all-weather. Let’s put them on and take care of you.” While Officer DePrimo squatted down on the ground to help put socks and the new boots on the man, she snapped this picture on her cellphone.
The story has been shared on Facebook over 78,000 times with more than 320,00 likes and has more than 1.6 million views. To see the full story, read The New York Times article at http://nyti.ms/TvUxhm
